How to Update Motorola Defy with Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 Firmware


As we are seeing that many devices have been updated with the latest Android Jelly bean 4.1.2 firmware. 
Now the Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 is available for Motorola Defy also. We will talk about the Jelly Bean

 still this update will let you enjoy the features like Google Now with all other Google Apps. The credit of the

 Motorola Defy with 4.1.2 Jelly bean firmware in some simple steps.


What’s Must -
• Before updating your device with this custom ROM firmware you should have backup of your data and all apps. You should backup your SMS(messages), Contacts, Call history, APN and MMS settings etc.
• Your device should be on rooted firmware.
• Your device battery should be charged enough to work on this updating process. If your battery is not charged enough then it may cause your device to get off in mid of the process.
• Make sure the USB must be in debugging mode


Step by Step guide to update Motorola Defy with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean



1. The first step is to Download Jelly Bean 4.1.2 Firmware pack and Google Apps Pack on your PC. 

2. After downloading the packages you need to connect your Motorola Defy with your PC with the help of USB cable. Once connected, transfer both zip files in your Defy.

3. Now turn off your device to get it in the recovery mode by pressing and holding the volume down and then press the power button to turn ON your device.

4. Select the “install zip from sd card” and then choose zip from sd card, then select Jelly Bean 4.1.2 firmware package and Google apps package and hit ok to install the firmware.

5. Once installed, Reboot your device.


6. Finally you can check that whether you have updated successfully or not by going to “Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version”.
